JACOB POLLEY

Jacob Polley was born in Carlisle. His first book, The Brink described by the Guardian as 'the kind of poetry that imbues the everyday, the tarnished and burnished, with the possibilities of the transcendent', was a Poetry Book Society Choice and shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize. His second collection, Little Gods, was published in 2006 and was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. Jacob was Visiting Fellow in the Arts at Trinity College, Cambridge, 2005-07, and his first novel is due out soon, also with Picador.
