GORDON SWINDLEHURST
Gordon Swindlehurst has been a reporter, producer and presenter with BBC Radio Cumbria for 16 years, winning several awards for his specialism in rural affairs and, latterly, presenting a two-hour weekday show which combines humour and creative contributions from the listening audience. A Classics graduate, he began writing poetry as a schoolboy and has since had a number of works published in poetry periodicals in Wales and Northern England - although he now prefers to classify his verse as "sub-Cyril Fletcher doggerel" which occasionally even rhymes. Gordon is 48 and lives in the Eden Valley.
